BRRR..., Baby!

Happy Wednesday!

How is your week going so far?  I hope you're enjoying it!

Today I am stopping by to share another NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) layout.  Creating layouts tends to take me a LONG time, but it was soooo freeing to follow Cathy Zielske's wisdom (part of the star line-up at Big Picture Classes)- that my layouts DON'T have to be 12*12.  So with that in mind, I cropped my paper to 8 1/2* 11 and used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.

Here's the end result:

It's hard to see, but the paper behind the pictures is a "winter" paper.  It has snowflakes.  But I thought it was fitting for these pictures.

(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- from my stash & Webster's Pages, banner punch, stickers- from my stash, machine stitching)

There you have it. Quick and simple.  And the best part was documenting these cutie pies, because I've had these pictures in my "scrap-now" pile for oh, maybe months. :-/

Well, dear friends, I thank you for spending some of your precious time with me.  See you soon. :D

Easter Eggs

Hola Everyone!

How is your week going?  I hope you are enjoying it.  As for me, I'm STILL trying to catch up in life.  I'm so behind on some major home projects, cleaning projects, craft projects, and sleep.  If someone gave me a pillow right now, I would surely thank them and plop on the floor. Anyone? ;)  And since sleeplessness= forgetfulness, I plum forgot to post this on Monday.  So sorry.

Well, I am sharing another Easter card.  I used an egg that was cut with my Cameo, just like the ones I used on my banner in my previous post.  Here is a detail picture:

I adhered the die-cut egg with a foam dot.  For the second egg, I sponged it and then added gold spots.
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Webster's Pages, Silhouette Cameo, butterfly punch- Martha Stewart, ink- Pear Tart by Tsukineko, sponge dauber, gold-leaf pen, colored pencils, foam dot)

Well, my dear friends, time to for me to get back to work or find a pillow. :D  I appreciate you stopping in for a visit.

Angie

Easter Greetings

Howdy Y'all!

How are you doing?  I can't believe I've been absent for so long!  Last month was super busy, and I'm still trying to catch up.  Last week we were out of town for a business trip and then hurried home for 2 birthday parties and practice.  And to top it off, I've been experiencing a creative block.  So please excuse my absence.

Well, I'm happy to report that I saw a bit of light at the end of my creative-block tunnel. So today I am sharing a super-simple Easter card.  The other day I created a simple Easter banner with my Cameo, and I wanted to find a way to use the negative sections of the die-cuts. Here is the Easter banner (forgive my large, dark shadow in the middle):

Here is the card using the negative section:
That's right!  I sure did use an actual cotton ball. :)

(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Webster's Pages, ribbon, bunny die-cut, sequins, cotton ball)

I told you it was super-simple. :)  What Easter projects are you working on?
Well, time for me to bid you farewell.  Have a fabulous day and thank you oh so MUCH for stopping by. :D

Sweet Bee

Hello All!!

I meant to post this project earlier, but who knew that taking a vehicle for a smog check would take FORVER!?  I took a book so I could read while I waited, (I was expecting at the most 1 hour) but I didn't get time for that!  I spent 40 minutes looking for the place (which was only 2 miles away!), showed up at 2 wrong places, & then when I finally found the correct one (which was hidden!), they tell me I need to drive around for a while so the "cat" (mechanical terminology) can be hot enough!!  Ay ya yay!!!

Ok, enough of my ranting. :D  Let's get to the goodies. :)

Today's project is a Valentine's card with non-traditional colors.  I used the sketch from Seize the Sketch for my card.

(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Webster's Pages, gel pen, button, twine- We R Memory Keepers, stamps- My Favorite Things, colored pencils, glossy accents)

Well, I hope you've had a smoother day/evening. :)  Thanks for being patient with me during my ranting and thank you for stopping by today.  :D
