Howdy Y'all!
I hope you had a great weekend. I am popping in real quick to share a simple layout.
Recently, I was going through some pictures and these ones caught my "eye", so I KNEW I had to create a layout. Let's begin with some detail pictures:
This is a picture of my little brother taken in 1991.
This is a picture of my nephew taken in 2006.
Yep, they both have the deer-in-the-headlights look. ;D
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Pebbles, alphabet stickers, stamps- Heidi Swapp, sequins, sewing machine, white gel pen, washi tape)
This is another reason I love scrapbooking- seeing similar traits/characteristics across generations.
Well, time for me to skedaddle! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by.
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Enjoying Unity
Hola Everyone!
How are you doing? I hope you are taking advantage of National Craft Month to get crafty.
Well, yesterday, I decided to forgo the garage cleaning and do crafty time instead. Maybe not the best choice considering the messy garage, but I was a much happier camper. :D
So, today I am sharing a card based on the current challenge at Unity. Aren't those colors and cupcakes scrumptious?! The challenge is to use the colors, a sketch, or both, as well as a Unity stamp.
Let's begin with a detail picture:
I used glossy accents on the flowers, but it's hard to tell. Gray skies= poor lighting.

Adventure Time
Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Hope you got to relax. Mine was a wee bit crazy and busy. But got to see family that I haven't seen in years, so that's always good.
Well, I'm popping in real quick with another card that uses lace and a button. I have rarely used lace on my cards, so I decided to play with it again.

Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge # 13
Hello Fine Folks!
How is your week going so far. It's been a busy one for me. In fact, it has been and will continue to be a busy MONTH. Aside from my regular daily life duties, I've been spring cleaning, had my niece's birthday dinner on the 13, my husband's niece's birthday on the 16, my dad and little sister's birthday tomorrow, a wedding this Saturday, a baby shower on the 29, my brother's birthday on the 31, and I'm choreographing a dance every Saturday. Phew, I got tired again from just thinking about all that! I'm re-tired. Ya know- tired again. Hahaha.
Just trying to lighten my mood here. Anyways, please forgive my sporadic appearances on my blog this month.
Well, now that I've bored you with my long intro, let's get to the good stuff. :) Today I am sharing my project for the current challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges. The challenge is to use lace and buttons on a card, layout, canvas or an "off the page" creation.
And since lace and buttons make me think of vintage items, I tried to create a card with a vintage feel.
I hand-wrote the sentiment: Hello Dahling (Darling). I know, cheesy attempt.
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Recollections & Prima, focal image- from my stash, ribbon- Celebrate It, button- Jillibean Soup)
Well, what do you think of when it comes to lace and buttons? Go get crafting and share your projects with us at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges.
Thank you all for taking the time to visit me and have a great day.
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Tribute to Teacher
Howdy Y'all!
Good-golly Miss Molly!! I didn't realize I've been "absent" here for almost a week! I've been busy doing spring cleaning that I haven't had much crafty time. But I'm hoping to fix that this week. ;)
Today I'm sharing a card that's perfect for a teacher. Teacher appreciation week isn't until May. But it's nice to show appreciation any time of the year.
I stamped the image onto the pattern background and on scrap paper. Then I fussy cut the scrap paper and taped it over the base image. I also fussy cut the flowers. Let's begin with a detail picture:
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- My Mind's Eye and from my stash, stamps- Unity Stamp Co. & Studio G, sequins, sewing machine, colored pencils)
Well, that does it for me today. I'll see you tomorrow. Have a great day and thank you for stopping by.
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Dream Big
Howdy Folks!
I hope you are having a great week so far. I got to spend some time with my sis yesterday, so that perked up my week. :)
During my creative mojo this past weekend, I finished a layout that I'm sharing today. This layout is about my younger niece and nephew. I considered doing a really "girly" layout for these pictures, but I didn't think my nephew would appreciate that. :) So I kept it kind of simple, yet interesting- I think. Plus, it allowed me to use some of my scraps. :)
There's a large section of journaling, but that is the most important part of scrapbooking for me. I want to capture the moments and/or messages.
(Supplies: cardstock, scraps- from my stash, photo corners, sequins, machine stitching, journaling card- Echo Park, sentiment stamp- Hampton Art)
This is the first "geometric" layout I've ever created and I think I like the look. :) Well, I'm off to hopefully do more scrapping. :D I appreciate you visiting and have a great day.
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Beachy Thoughts
Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Mine? Too short.
I actually put my to-do list aside for a bit and got into my creative mojo, so I am sharing a card that I whipped up.
This card was inspired by Gloria Stengel's style. Her style is vintage-y/retro with many layers and embellishments, and it's so beautiful. Some people can add many layers & embellishments to their crafts and make them look amazing! Gloria, is such a person. But when I try to do the same, it just looks like a hot MESS.
So my card does NOT look like her cards. But I think it does look a bit vintage-y. No? :)
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Recollections & from my stash, ribbon, heart border punch- Martha Stewart, glossy accents, sentiment- Unity Stamp Co., focal image- from my stash) I don't have the manufacturer's name for the image. So if you recognize it, please let me know so I can give them proper credit.
Well, folks, I'm signing off. Have a fabulous day and thank you so, so much for taking the time to stop by. :D

Flourishing Flower
Hola Everyone!
How is your day and week going so far?
Today I am popping in to share my design team project for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges. The current challenge is to use handmade, store bought or stamped flowers on a layout, card, or "off the page" project.
When I began working on this project, I learned that I don't create a lot of flower projects. So I didn't have a lot of options. I have a large flower stamp that I have used numerous times here and here, but I didn't want to bore you (or myself) again with it. ;)
So after much thought and searching, I created a layout. Let's begin with some detail pictures. :)
I used an embossing folder by Anna Griffin for the middle section. I sure do like the design.
I used glittery cardstock & a punch by Martha Stewart for the butterflies. They're super sparkly in real life.
I cut out the banners and flowers, which are tucked under the paper, with my Cameo. I also used a layout sketch by Gloria Stengel. Her style is ahhwesome. :D
(Supplies: pattern paper- Bo Bunny, cardstock, embossing folder- Anna Griffin, Silhouette Cameo, border & butterfly punches- Martha Stewart, sentiment stamp- Unity Stamp Co., flower- Recollections, rhinestone, machine stitching)
So what flower project will you create? Go get scrappy and link up your creation at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges. And thank you for taking the time to visit me. Have a great day. :D
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Bestowal Butterfly
Hey Y'all!
How is your week going so far? I'm trying to get a bit of crafting time in the midst of all my to-do items. So let's get to the crafty stuff. ;)
Today I have a thank you card. The flower was die-cut with my Cameo and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterfly.
We have gray skies at the moment, so the pictures are a bit dull. Sorry. :(
I added some glitter glue to the butterfly and the hearts.
(Supplies: cardstock, Cameo machine, glitter glue- Martha Stewart, butterfly die-cut- Martha Stewart, sequins, sentiment stamp- Papertrey Ink, vellum paper, flower die-cut)
Well, I better get back to my to-do list. :( Muchas gracias for coming over to visit & have a great day. :D

Birthday Butterflies
Howdy Friends!!
Got any fun plans for this weekend? Our wacky weather, which is cloudy & windy, is perfect for staying indoors & getting some crafting done. Or reading. Or watching a movie. Or cleaning. Wait! I said fun, so omit the last option. :D
Well, today I am sharing a birthday card. This is one category that I really need to replenish. In fact, there's 4 birthdays this month just in my immediate family. And several more in our extended family. I better get busy. :)
I added a tad of glitter glue to the antenna on the butterflies.
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Kiwi Embroidery Paper Co., butterfly stamp- Unity Stamp Co., sentiment stamp- Papertrey Ink, ink- black & Razzberry, rhinestone, glitter glue, vellum, circle paper punch)
Ok, folks, that does it for me today. Enjoy your weekend and thank you for taking the time to stop by. :D
Happy Crafting,
Angie
P.S. Just a reminder that the current challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges is due March 6 at 11:55 pm (European time). It's a monogram challenge, so go get your project linked up. :)
