Happy Friday!!
Got any fun plans for the weekend? My weekend is kicking off with Family Game Night tonight, and I'm excited! It's always great to spend time with loved ones. :)
Well, guess what I'm sharing today?... Yep- another Valentine's Day card. :D
I colored the flowers and then added glitter glue to them. I love the little sparkle when the light hits them.
I will be entering this card to Time Out Challenges for their theme & DT call. Their theme is "Love &/or Friendship" & I think it fits in nicely. :) I like the concept behind this blog, which is to take time out and craft. Right up my alley! :D
Can you tell that I'm enjoying the heart pattern paper? :D
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper, gel pen, twine, sequins, glitter glue- Martha Stewart, image & sentiment stamps- Stamping Bella)
Oh, I almost forgot that it's Super Bowl weekend. With no television, I'm pretty clueless about games and shows. :( So all you football fans, enjoy the show. You know where I'll be. ;)
Thank you for stopping in to visit. Have a fabulous day. :D
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Red Sweet Bee
Hi Everyone!
I have another Valentine's Day card today. And since that "sweet" holiday is almost here, I've got a good excuse to continue making them. :D
I used the same stamp in a previous card that I posted here. You'll also notice that I have been using the same pattern paper in other cards. They're all different, but they seem like they can be part of a set.
Let's begin with a detail picture. I used glossy accents again on the honey, and it makes it look real shiny. Plus, I added a little sparkle to her wings with glitter glue.
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper, stamp- My Favorite Things, glossy accents, machine stitching, sequins, gel pen, colored pencils, glitter glue- Martha Stewart)
So what crafts/treats are you making for the "sweet" holiday?
Well, TTFN (Tah Tah For Now) as Tigger says. :D Thank you for stopping by. :D

Flower Power Pack with Love
Hey Y'all!!
I hope you are having a wonderful week so far. We Central/Southern Californians are being a bit spoiled with our weather. Can you believe it was 70 today?!
Well, I am popping in today to share a Valentine's Day card & more "Flower Power" cards that are similar to the red one I shared here. And since I liked the design, (as well as my Facebook friends :D) I decided to recreate it in different shades of blue. I made 2 for each color.
I call these the "Flower Power Pack."
And here is my Valentine's Day card, which was quick and simple. I used a Project-Life type of card for the center.
A detail picture:
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper, machine stitching, sequins, journal card- My Mind's Eye)
Well, that does it for me today. I thank you so, so much for stopping in to visit. :D

Flower Burst
Hola Everyone!
I CAN'T believe that it's the LAST week of the month and I'm not even close to completing my tasks for this month. Aarrrgh! Ok, enough stressing. :D
Today I have another aqua card to share with you. During my color challenge for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges, I created several aqua cards. For this card, I embossed the center flower and the sentiment. I like the texture that the embossing creates. :)
(Supplies: cardstock, inks- Versa Mark & Prima in Pastel Blue, orange embossing powder- Zing, sentiment stamp- Pebbles, pearl- Doodle Bug, heat gun, pop dot)
Well, that does it for me today. I hope I can tear myself away from my craft desk, so I can complete my tasks. I'll let you know how it goes. :D Thank you for sharing some of your precious time with me.
Happy Crafting,
Angie

Howdy Folks!!
Today I am sharing my second design team project for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges. :D This challenge is a color challenge, but there's a fun, little twist to it. Here's what you do: 1) pick a color that begins with your first name & 2) add another color. Neutrals are "free." If you need ideas for a color, Rachelle (our leader) has a link to more options on the Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges blog. Here is the icon for the challenge:
I picked aqua for "A" (Angie) & gold as my second color.
Unfortunately, the gold paper & ribbon look more brown than gold. But they both have a nice, gold shimmer in real life.
I used a stencil from the Crafter's Workshop & a gold colored pencil to draw/trace my birdcage. Then I used glossy accents on the bird and gold ink/marker on the birdcage.
(Supplies: cardstock, stencil- Crafter's Workshop, glossy accents, ribbon, gold colored pencil, gold ink- Smooch, pearls- Doodle Bug, typewriter)
So what colors would you pick? Go get crafty and be sure to post your project(s) by Feb. 6. :D
Thank you for stopping in to visit and have a great day!!!

I included a little message on the inside that I typed with my typewriter. Yes, folks, I have a typewriter. :D I've had that thing since high school and it's still kicking! :)

Sweet Bee
Hello All!!
I meant to post this project earlier, but who knew that taking a vehicle for a smog check would take FORVER!? I took a book so I could read while I waited, (I was expecting at the most 1 hour) but I didn't get time for that! I spent 40 minutes looking for the place (which was only 2 miles away!), showed up at 2 wrong places, & then when I finally found the correct one (which was hidden!), they tell me I need to drive around for a while so the "cat" (mechanical terminology) can be hot enough!! Ay ya yay!!!
Ok, enough of my ranting. :D Let's get to the goodies. :)
Today's project is a Valentine's card with non-traditional colors. I used the sketch from Seize the Sketch for my card.
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper- Webster's Pages, gel pen, button, twine- We R Memory Keepers, stamps- My Favorite Things, colored pencils, glossy accents)
Well, I hope you've had a smoother day/evening. :) Thanks for being patient with me during my ranting and thank you for stopping by today. :D

Flower Power
Howdy Folks!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are well rested for the week. :) Thankfully, it will be a short week for some, since it's a holiday today: Martin Luther King Jr. day. :)
Well, I recently came across a new blog, One Layer Simplicity Challenge that is solely dedicated to 1 layer cards, so today's card will be posted to their challenge. The theme is "Restocking the Shelf," meaning any theme that you need to replenish in your stash. I definitely need to replenish my "thank you" cards, so I chose a "sketch" that I can easily mass produce.
Let's begin with some detail pictures.
(Supplies: cardstock, stamps- Stampendous! [flower] & Papertrey Ink [sentiment], glitter glue- Martha Stewart, ink- Color Box, gel pen, sequins)
Well, folks, that's all for today. Gracias for stopping in today. I appreciate your company. :D
Happy Crafting,
Angie
P.S. Reminder: the baby theme for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges is due Jan. 23. :)

Tea Time
Happy Weekend All!!!
I hope everyone is enjoying their day with loved ones or perhaps alone relaxing. ;) We have some really nice weather here in sunny Central Cali. that I took advantage of it & left my craft desk for a bit. In fact, it's warmer outside than inside my home. But I'm not complaining because I prefer a cooler atmosphere.
Ok, enough ramblings. :D Today I am sharing a thank you card. I used some colors that I don't typically use, but I'm trying to stretch outside my comfort zone. ;)
Detail picture:
I stamped the little tea bag onto pattern paper then cut it out.
(Supplies: cardstock, pattern paper (from my stash), stamps- Fiskars, gel pen, sequins)
Well, friends, I wish you a wonderful & enjoyable weekend. Thanks for coming over to visit. :D

Double the Love
Hello All!
How is your week going? Can't believe it's almost the weekend. Not that I'm complaining, but it seems like this new year is already on the fast track!! I need to make sure I don't let it slip away.
Well, today I am sharing another card based on this month's Artful Delight sketch.
I rarely make 2 cards with the same sketch, but I really like this one. You can see my previous one here or just scroll on down.
Here is a detail picture. I used glossy accents on the hearts. It's my first time using this product, and I think I like it. :D
(Supplies: pattern paper, debossed cardstock, white cardstock, Cameo machine, twine, button, sequins, stamp- My Favorite Things, die-cut shape, glossy accents)
On another note, I want to remind you that the current challenge for scrapping4funchallenges is due Jan. 23. The theme is baby, so go ahead and get your projects posted. :D Have a fabulous day and thank you for stopping by!!
Challenge #8- Baby. Isn't this just too cute! :D

Baby Mobile
Howdy Folks!!
Guess what? Today I get to share my first design team project for the Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge blog. The theme of this challenge is "Baby." I am still so thrilled that I got this opportunity!! :D
I want to take a moment and welcome my design teammates Sarah, Issys, Rachelle & Barbara. And thank you Rachelle, (our leader) for blessing me with this opportunity. :D
Let's start with some detail pictures. But first, let me apologize for the bad lighting. The only place where I could hang this (and apparently not very straight) was in a small room with very little natural light.
All shapes (onesies, umbrellas, rattles, safety pins) were cut with my Cameo.
The moon and baby were hand drawn and then colored in lightly with colored pencils. (Terrible, terrible lighting)

Bringing Baby
Hey Everyone!!
How is it going? So, how many of you made resolutions for the new year? This year I decided to give up on resolutions and just make goals. I know, they seem like the same thing to me, but I am much more likely to achieve my goals than resolutions. And one of my goals is to expand my crafting skills.
Anyhow, today I am sharing another baby card. And I know JUST who to give it to. ;D To tell you the truth, I wanted to wait at least a few weeks before posting this card, but I couldn't help myself. (Looking down sheepishly) So here it is.
Here is a detail picture:
I used an umbrella die-cut and paper pieced the top part, as well as the baby. All the sequins are white but the light made them different colors. :)
(Supplies: cardstock, umbrella die-cut- Cameo, sequins, pattern paper- Recollections, sentiment & baby stamp- Fiskars, gel pen)
Well, friends, what are YOUR resolutions/goals for 2014? Whatever they may be, I wish you lots of success. Thanks for stopping by!! :D

Just Arrived!
Howdy All!!!
How is your new year going so far? Well, let me start off with an apology for being absent again here. I have been working on a design team project, so I hadn't crafted much else. And the holidays turned my schedule upside down. But I am starting to get back into the swing of things. :)
So, today I am sharing some baby cards. I actually used left-over items from a project for these. The onesie and the stroller were cut out with my Cameo. Here they are:
A detail picture:

13 Favorite Projects of 2013
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
Wow! Another year gone. This past year had some highs and lows, like always. However, one of the lows of the year turned into a positive thing because I was able to begin this blog. It all started with a friend's comment and then I decided to look into building a blog. Next thing I know, I've got a blog! :D
And speaking of blog, I want to apologize for being MIA lately. The holidays just consumed my time, but I want to thank all of you who continue to stop by here for a visit. It warms my heart. *me grinning from ear to ear*
Well, for today's post I am sharing 13 of my favorite projects from 2013. Ok, here we go:
1. Birthday card for a Moxie Fab challenge. The challenge was to create a card without stamps.
2. Crocheted-shell infinity scarf. This took me a while but I loved the results. :D
3. I liked the black and teal color combination in this card.
10. Can't go wrong with classy colors like black and white. :)
11. It's rare when most of the family is in one picture, so I love this layout.
12. I tend to stick to solid backgrounds in my cards, but I like how this pattern paper added pizzazz. And I think the "lights" on the tree are cute.
13. I like the triangles, stitching, and carriage silhouette in this layout. Sorry for the grainy picture. It's an old one.

5. This was the first time I had painted watercolors on a card.
6. These were the first double-sided placemats that I had sewn, and I liked how versatile they turned out.
7. This is my Valentine apron and I liked the designs on the fabric. Kind of romantic- rocker chic. :D
8. This was a very simple design, but I liked the color combo and the chevrons.
9. I used a music embossing folder and the design turned out very crisp. Plus, I like the ornament. :D
10. Can't go wrong with classy colors like black and white. :)

My hopes and desires for 2014 are to continue crafting and expanding my skills and learning in various techniques & styles. And I hope that you continue to stop by & visit. :D
And I wish you all a year full of blessings, good health, peace and joy.
Happy Crafting,
Angie
